Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

I must say...unfortunately it is just his memory power.

Read one of the comments posted in the above links: >>> this is a business promoation session. the boy is son of mendos sir who is the chief of RHCE centre called IPSR who is conducting rhce examinations and we can guss how this boy passed the exam. A cheap way of publicity using his own son. If this boy is that fabulus let mendous sir bring the news through a malayalam news papaer and exhibit the technical skill of this boy (posted by a user: ajin)

Well, this is the power a brain dumps!

I agree ;-) I know many of my Friends who write exams in IPSR. Let the kid go out and play ;-)

I also read about an youngest MCP in Tanil nadu. My personal opinion is that the child must be given the oppurtunity to choose. What is the kid going to do with an RHCE and MCP exam at the age of 11 ?

There should be some minimum age limit set. Atleast it helps to prevent making fool of these certifications.

In my openion there should be an interview phase to be attached with all the certification exams so that there will be some value for the certification.

You know there are only a few MCAs (Microsoft Certified Architect) exists worldwide. Because there is a face-to-face session int its process.

    Mr. Ajin

you don't discourage and under estimate anyone. you are not the person to assess any person, if you have any doubt about Rajaths knowledge in linux. you can directly meet Rajat and ask your Queries..??

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

If it was not dumps, why the little master is visible only in 'Youngest RHCE' news?

Well, I am sure Rajat might already 'learned' Linux knowledge for facing our 'questions' Smile

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

There are no dumps for RHCE, there is only Syllabus and Study notes provided by the Red Hat. If you can learn it well and appear for the exam you also can become an RHCE. Little master is not expert in all the fields. As u told earlry if a young boy can't study RHCE den how will he study linux to answer ur question, so think abt it. if he can answer ur questions with in these short period, den y can't he become an RHCE

See the newspaper malayala manorama (May 11th). There is a Story of a 5 year Girl, who got Black Belt in Karatte. wat u think abt that. is that also dumps.

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

Well, sure there are rare ones with talent.

Unfortunately I interviewed many 'certified peoples' for many companies in Technopark. Sad to say, atleast 80% of them did not know why they have these certifications.

Once I got 'dumps offer' from a reputed prometric test center in Trivandrum when I went there for the enquiry of exam fee.

May be you wonder why I changed my mind suddently ;-) ... because I enquired the exam method of RHCE already with a friend.

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

Well I am also RHCE. I cleared when I was in 11th std. at age 15 years. But nothing like this boy in my case. Seriously. I remember how many books and things I refered at the time of preparation. It was not easy. And my daddy don't even know how to use Linux. He he.

If you ask me why I did it, I'd say I like Linux and I want to be a Linux professional and devlope my career in that way. But very less people know about my achievement as I don't want to be famous.

    That's it....

    Nice Nirmal.

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

It surely does buddy. I remember how hard I worked some months ago. I passed exam on 17th Nov. 2008. I just went through more than those 'redbooks'. Did lot of things beyond the course. And I enjoyed all the prep. But when I came to know about thing 11 yr. boy's 'case'... I was sort of shocked. I even heard that RedHat took his cert. back because he publicited himself too much... and it was sort of publicity stunt...

Well ... whatever. But being RHCE makes me proud. I just spread my Linux thoughts around community as much as I can to inspire people to use Linux and not to use Windows. Let's see... when the time comes in India... when all will be using Linux... :-p

Re: Youngest RHCE in the World - Rajat Mendus

It is easy to fool any system. But when he comes to the interview board, one's recorded answers may not help since interviewers expect a practical output.

It is nice that RHCE took back his certification. These kind of cheap publicity fuss will adversly affect the reliability of the Exams. Most exams already have the bad mark of 'brain dump'.
